CENTRAL CITY, Neb. (AP) - A 50-year-old Loup City woman was killed Thursday afternoon in a crash northwest of Central City.

The Omaha World-Herald reports (https://bit.ly/24I0v0c ) that Theresa Ahrens was killed in the Thursday afternoon crash.

The Merrick County Sheriff’s Office says the crash happened at a rural intersection when a southbound car collided with an eastbound commercial truck.



Ahrens was the driver of the car and was pronounced dead at the scene. Two passengers in the car were flown to a hospital and are expected to recover.

The 21-year-old truck driver from Genoa was not injured.

Investigators say everyone involved was wearing a seat belt.
