ATLANTA (AP) - The Atlanta Braves have optioned right-hander Ryan Weber to Triple-A Gwinnett and recalled left-hander Dario Alvarez.

The Braves claimed Alvarez on waivers from the New York Mets on May 25. Alvarez, who will join Atlanta’s bullpen, posed a 1.12 ERA in eight innings at Gwinnett.

Weber allowed two runs on three hits in one inning, failing to hold a 7-6 lead, in the Braves’ 9-8 loss to Cincinnati on Sunday. He had a 9.28 ERA in five games with Atlanta this season.
