LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson says he told Donald Trump he’ll speak out at times when he disagrees with the presumptive Republican nominee, but that doesn’t mean he’s backing away from the GOP hopeful.

Hutchinson told reporters Wednesday his meeting with Trump and several other GOP governors was his first substantive discussion with the billionaire and reality TV show host. Hutchinson met with Trump and the governors in New York on Tuesday.

Hutchinson said Trump needs to hear from fellow Republicans who disagree with some of his positions. He said listening to those voices would help shape Trump’s policy in a better direction. Hutchinson said he still plans to support Trump as the party’s nominee, but didn’t say whether he’d actively campaign for Trump.
