FORT DODGE, Iowa (AP) - A 21-year-old Iowa woman has been charged in connection with the death of a 6-year-old girl injured in a collision on Christmas Day.

Court records say Ruth Tomlinson is charged with driving on the wrong side of a two-way highway, failure to maintain control and failure to provide proof of financial liability. She’s due in court Friday. A public phone listing for her couldn’t be found. The court records don’t list the name of an attorney who could be contacted to comment for her.

The accident occurred about two miles north of Duncombe in Webster County. The Iowa State Patrol says Tomlinson was driving east in the westbound lane when her vehicle struck an oncoming pickup, fatally injuring Payton Henry, of Webster City, who was traveling with her family.
