Iowa nurse accused of trying to illegally fill prescriptions

IOWA CITY, Iowa (AP) - An Iowa nurse has been accused of trying to fill patient prescriptions without permission.

Online court records say 32-year-old Jessica DeBrower, of Williamsburg, is charged with prohibited possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of a prescription drug. The records don’t list the name of an attorney who could comment on her behalf.

The Iowa City Press-Citizen reports (https://icp-c.com/1XSeUXo ) that DeBrower tried to pick up a patient’s prescription for a painkiller on May 13 and again on May 17.
