BRANCHBURG, N.J. (AP) - A New Jersey man accused of fatally beating his grandparents with an aluminum baseball bat inside the home where they all lived has been indicted on two murder counts.

Somerset County prosecutors say 20-year-old Ezra Simon-Daniels was indicted on Wednesday.

Authorities say he called 911 in February from a parking lot near his Branchburg home and said he had blood all over him and couldn’t remember how he’d gotten there.

Police then went to his home and found the bodies of 78-year-old Louis Simon and his 65-year-old wife, Beatrice in their beds.

Both died from blunt force trauma to the head. Their deaths have been ruled homicides.

Simon-Daniels remains jailed on $2 million bail. It’s not known if he has a lawyer.
