SIMPSONVILLE, S.C. (AP) - Greenville County sheriff’s deputies have made an arrest in the shooting death of a Piedmont man earlier this month.

Master Deputy Drew Pinciaro tells local media that 19-year-old Tony Curtis Pepper Jr. of Simpsonville was arrested Thursday and charged with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

The charges stem from the June 5 shooting death of 24-year-old Frederick Jeremy Babb.

Deputies were called to Simpsonville and found Babb in a driveway with multiple gunshots wounds. Authorities say other people may have been involved and the investigation is continuing.

It was not immediately known if Pepper had an attorney.
