MACON, Ga. (AP) - A Macon convenience store has been burglarized hours after mourners attended a vigil for a clerk who was fatally shot during an armed robbery inside the same store last week.

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release that deputies arrested 28-year-old Antwaun B. Smith while responding to the break-in Thursday morning. Deputies are still searching for two other suspects who fled the scene.

The three are accused of burglarizing the Gary Food Mart store.

Forty-year-old clerk Prakash Patel was shot and killed inside the store on June 18. A vigil for Patel was held Wednesday night, as about 200 people lit candles in the store parking lot.

Authorities are still searching for the two men involved in Patel’s slaying.

It’s unclear whether Smith has an attorney.
