PHOENIX (AP) - Police say that two teenagers were shot outside a Phoenix apartment complex, but both are expected to survive, the Arizona Republic reported.

Phoenix police Sgt. Vincent Lewis says the teens - one male and the other female, and both age 18 or older - were shot about 8:30 p.m. Saturday outside the complex near 48th Street and Baseline Road.

Lt. Robert Knapp tells the Republic that both suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

The newspaper says that neighbors reported hearing numerous shots fired.

Lewis says they did not have anyone in custody and were still trying to determine what happened.

Police did not provide additional details about the shooting.
