In 2008, presidential candidate Barack Obama booted reporters from three newspapers — The Washington Times, the New York Post and the Dallas Morning News — off his campaign plane. In their place, Mr. Obama seated journalists from Jet, Ebony and Glamour magazines. His campaign said the move was due to a limited number of plane seats. The mainstream press said nothing at all.

When Donald Trump pulled the press credentials of The Washington Post recently, the mainstream press went into outrage mode. It goes to show you that if a candidate for office supports everything that the mainstream press supports ideologically, that candidate can use and abuse a mainstream journalist from dawn to dusk. Otherwise, they will cry foul.

The agenda of the mainstream press is all that is important. Nothing else matters.
