WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (AP) - The historic Williamsburg Lodge will become one of Marriott International’s Autograph Collection Hotels next year.
According to a news release Monday from the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation, that means the lodge will benefit from Marriott’s reservation distribution system. Also, lodge guests will be able to earn or use Marriott Rewards points.
The Colonial Williamsburg Company, the foundation’s for-profit subsidiary, will continue to own and operate the lodge.
The lodge has seven buildings, 323 guest rooms, meeting and banquet space and dining areas. It opened in 1939.
Bethesda, Maryland-based Marriott has nearly 100 independent hotels in its Autograph Collection.
