MCCOMB, Miss. (AP) - A 31-year-old McComb woman is in custody, accused of raping a child and other charges.
Detective Sid Boyte says Erica Labruzza faces charges of statutory rape, production of child pornography and touching and handling for lustful gratification.
Labruzza is accused of recording a child, about 2 years old, during an incident of sexual abuse. Boyte, in a news release Tuesday, said the video of the alleged incident was discovered on a cellphone by someone else and reported to police.
He said the exact date of the incident is still in question and it may have occurred one or two weeks ago.
Labruzza, arrested Monday, is being held at the Pike County Detention Center. It was unknown if she has an attorney who could comment on her behalf.
