FORT LEE, N.J. (AP) - Authorities in New Jersey have filed charges against a New York City teen following a crash in Fort Lee that left five people injured.

The Bergen County Prosecutors Office says the 17-year-old unlicensed driver and four passengers were meeting friends at a motel when he lost control and crashed into an island barrier on Tuesday.

They were taken to a hospital, where two of the passengers are in critical condition.

The boy is charged with causing bodily injury while operating a motor vehicle while unlicensed. His name has not been released because of his age.
