WATKINSVILLE, Ga. (AP) - Authorities have charged a northeast Georgia man with killing his brother-in-law, whose body was found in the woods buried in a shallow grave.
The Athens Banner-Herald reports (bit.ly/1LU2Phd) 36-year-old Daniel Lamar Anglin was arrested on murder charges with murder by Oconee County sheriff’s investigators shortly after authorities found his wife’s brother dead.
Sheriff Scott Berry said Wednesday that 42-year-old Chad Ruark was shot twice in the back of the head. His body was discovered Tuesday in a shallow grave about 150 yards from the road where he lived.
Ruark had been missing since Feb. 23. The sheriff declined to say why investigators believe the man’s brother-in-law killed him. It was not immediately known if Anglin had an attorney.
