FORT COLLINS, Colo. (AP) - A woman involved in the death of a Fort Collins woman who was beaten, stabbed and dumped in rural Larimer County has been sentenced to 12 years in prison.

The Coloradoan reports (https://goo.gl/ZHDAej ) 34-year-old Kimberly Guinn was sentenced Thursday in the death of 28-year-old Andrea Bartmess. Guinn, who pleaded guilty to first-degree kidnapping, was the third of five suspects to be sentenced.

Bartmess, who went to a Fort Collins home to buy drugs Oct. 7, 2014, was kidnapped and beaten in a car with a baton, driven to a barn northwest of the city, bound, choked and stomped on.

Prosecutors say Guinn participated in the attack, but she played a substantially lesser role than her co-defendants.

Bartmess’ body was found along a rural roadside Nov. 21, 2014.
