MONTPELIER, Vt. (AP) - The Vermont Fish and Wildlife Department is holding public hearings this month to discuss the results of the deer hunting season and management of moose and other animals.
Each March, the department holds three hearings on the deer hunt.
This year two of the hearings will be held on weekends and include discussions of the deer hunt as well as the state’s wildlife habitat and management of black bear, moose and furbearers.
The wildlife open house meetings take place Sunday, March 20, at the Kehoe Conservation Camp in Castleton and Saturday, March 26, at Montpelier High School from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
A third meeting on just the deer and moose hunts and herds takes place on Wednesday evening, March 23, at Lake Region High School in Orleans.
