CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (AP) - Authorities say an elderly woman in a wheelchair who was struck by a hit-and-run driver last month has died from her injuries.
Middlesex County District Attorney Marian Ryan announced Tuesday that 77-year-old Dorothy Steele, of Cambridge, had died.
Steele was on Columbia Street on Feb. 28 when she was struck. She was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital.
The alleged driver of the vehicle, 62-year-old Henry Park, is charged with leaving the scene of personal injury causing death.
An arraignment date for the Somerville man hasn’t been scheduled yet.
A man who answered the phone at a number listed for Park said he didn’t know anything about the case.
