CINCINNATI (AP) - Cincinnati police say a 16-year-old girl who was assaulted at a night club last month has died, and the 34-year-old boyfriend suspected in the case is expected to face more serious charges.
Hailey Hall was taken to a hospital Feb. 29, after an assault in the wee hours at the Inner Circle nightclub. She died Monday.
A suspect, William Arnold, was arrested on drug charges after the assault. His attorney, Hugh McCloskey, says he expects additional charges to be filed next week. He declined to comment further.
Arnold is being held in Hamilton County Jail on $1 million bond.
Hall was a sophomore at St. Bernard-Elmwood Place schools. The district superintendent tells The Cincinnati Enquirer that mental health professionals are available and counselors will be brought in Wednesday.
