DETROIT (AP) - An expert in environmental law has been added to the state team investigating the Flint water crisis.
Noah Hall teaches at Wayne State University law school and is founder of the Great Lakes Environmental Law Center, which advises community groups and public officials.
Attorney General Bill Schuette’s team now is up to 12 attorneys, led by Todd Flood. There are 10 investigators, led by former FBI agent Andy Arena. The budget is $1.5 million.
In Flint, water that wasn’t properly treated allowed lead to be released from old plumbing.
Hall says the Flint mess is the most significant environmental law matter in state history. He says he wants to help “right the wrongs committed.”
