NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - The Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame has named Kansas City Chiefs safety Eric Berry and Grizzlies center Marc Gasol as its male professional athletes of the year.

The hall announced the awards Wednesday. The men will be honored June 18 at the hall’s 50th anniversary induction banquet.

Berry was named the NFL’s comeback player of the year for returning in 2015 after being diagnosed with lymphoma. Berry, who played in college at Tennessee, also was voted an All Pro.

Gasol was a starter in the 2015 All-Star Game and voted first team All-NBA in helping the Grizzlies to a fifth straight postseason berth last season. Gasol also spent two seasons playing for Lausanne Collegiate School in the Memphis area while his older brother, Pau, played for the Grizzlies.
