SOMERVILLE, N.J. (AP) - Jurors have convicted a New Jersey man of murdering a Brooklyn woman.

Prosecutors say 35-year-old Felix Graves-Dardon of North Plainfield strangled and repeatedly stabbed 30-year-old Yadira Blaimayer-Ortiz in 2012, severing her jugular vein.

Police found Graves-Dardon wrapped in blood-soaked bedding in the basement of the apartment building where he sublet a bedroom. Officers found the victim’s body in an alley.

Graves-Dardon faces up to life in prison when he’s sentenced in May.
