AMARILLO, Texas (AP) - Amarillo police say the January deaths of a woman and a man at the home they shared have been ruled a murder and a suicide.

Police on Wednesday said an autopsy determined 42-year-old Dana Atkins died of asphyxia. Evidence shows Atkins was strangled by 45-year-old Tyrone Titus.

Amarillo police say Titus, several hours later, killed himself by drinking antifreeze.

The bodies were discovered Jan. 28 by some acquaintances who had dropped by the duplex.
