Police: Boy, 5, shot in Oklahoma City parking lot

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Oklahoma City police say they are investigating after a 5-year-old boy was shot inside a vehicle.

Oklahoma City Police Department Sgt. Ashley Peters says there was an argument between the boy’s mother and a man in the parking lot of the Heritage Ridge Apartments Tuesday evening when the incident occurred.

Peters said the man shot inside the vehicle and the child was struck in the ankle.

The boy was taken to a hospital for treatment.
