State’s former ‘drug czar’ takes new job at Keene airport

KEENE, N.H. (AP) - New Hampshire’s former “drug czar” has a new position following his resignation from the advisory post last month.

New Hampshire Public Radio reports (https://bit.ly/1pHcDBu ) Jack Wozmak will begin his job as manager of the Dillant-Hopkins Airport in Keene this week after signing a one-year contract.

Wozmak was Cheshire County administrator before he was named the state’s senior director for Substance Misuse and Behavioral Health in January 2015. He stepped down amid criticism from Republicans and law enforcement officials regarding his job performance.

Wozmak will take over the single-runway airport, which is technically located in North Swanzey, but owned and operated by the city of Keene.

Hassan on Monday named James Vara, New Hampshire’s top drug prosecutor, to the post of Governor’s Advisor on Addiction and Behavioral Health.
