GUTHRIE, Okla. (AP) - Logan County authorities say a 2-year-old child was found wandering alone on a county road and the child’s parents have now been arrested on drug charges.

Sheriff’s Det. Greg Valencia says a deputy found the child wearing only pajama bottoms and a diaper in southern Logan County on Tuesday, but the parents could not be found until the child’s father called to report the child was missing.

Valencia says the deputy then went to the family’s home and found marijuana and related items.

Both parents were arrested for possession of controlled dangerous substances in the presence of a minor. The 2-year-old and the child’s 12- and 17-year-old siblings were taken into protective custody by the state Department of Human Services.
