EASTON, Pa. (AP) - An eastern Pennsylvania man has been ordered to stand trial on charges he sold heroin to a 26-year-old friend that was linked to the man’s fatal overdose.

A judge on Tuesday found during 29-year-old Daniel Fisher Jr’s preliminary hearing that there was abundant evidence he provided the heroin in Thomas O’Brien Jr.’s fatal overdose last year. The Forks Township man is charged with drug delivery resulting in death and a separate drug offense.

Defense attorney Phil Lauer says the bags sold by Fisher may not have been the drugs that killed O’Brien.

Fisher remains in jail in lieu of $500,000 bail.
