PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - A Woonsocket man who pleaded guilty in the shooting of a Providence pawn shop owner is headed to prison.
Twenty-three-year-old Andrew McLean was sentenced Tuesday to life in prison in the October shooting of Justin Kemp. He pleaded guilty to robbery, conspiracy and gun charges.
Authorities say Kemp was left seriously wounded after McLean and two other men robbed the store on Oct. 23. Police say McLean was shot in the torso during the robbery.
One of the suspects is in custody. The other remains at large.
