TULSA, Okla. (AP) - Prosecutors have dropped charges against a man in connection to a fatal shooting at a Tulsa nightclub.

The Tulsa World (https://bit.ly/1PsiZcy ) reports that 23-year-old Damion Cooper was released from jail Monday. He had turned himself in to authorities March 18 on charges of first-degree murder, possession of a firearm after former conviction of a felony and four counts of non-domestic assault and battery with a deadly weapon.

Cooper was accused in the fatal shooting of 18-year-old Jamarko Ward at The Spot March 12. Two women were injured in the shooting.

Susan Witt with the Tulsa County District Attorney’s Office said Wednesday the lead detective in the case had concerns that further investigation was needed after interviewing witnesses. Witt said that it is possible that charges could be refiled in the case.
