MINOT, N.D. (AP) - A Minot woman is accused of leaving her three small children home alone while she went to her job.

Authorities allege that 27-year-old Shaunna Rider left her 5-, 3- and 1-year-old sons unattended for more than three hours on Tuesday.

Authorities say living conditions in the apartment including a lack of food also were unfit for children. The boys were turned over to Child Protective Services.

Rider faces a felony child neglect charge that carries a maximum sentence of five years in prison. Court documents do not list an attorney for her, and a home telephone listing couldn’t be found. She could enter a plea at an April 28 court hearing.
