PHOENIX (AP) - Authorities have released the name of a teenage boy who was fatally shot during a Phoenix house party.

Phoenix police say 16-year-old Jesse Abrego was shot around 3:20 a.m. Sunday after a fight broke out inside the home.

Officers were able to move Abrego to a safe area for treatment, but police say he died of his injuries at the scene.

Police say several people fled before officers were able to secure the scene, but 18 partygoers were temporarily detained and questioned.

They say an investigation into the shooting was continuing Monday and no arrests have been made in the case.
