LAS VEGAS (AP) - A Las Vegas man has pleaded guilty to felony driving under the influence causing death in a case that made headlines when he was attacked in a court hallway by the great-grandmother of the man who died.

Prosecutors said Monday that 24-year-old Gary Richard Adair Jr. will face four-to-10 years in state prison following his plea on Thursday.

Kadar Brown was struck and killed while changing a flat tire on U.S. 95 in Las Vegas in March 2014. He was 38.

Lindona Thompson pleaded no-contest to misdemeanor battery for attacking Adair last November. Adair wasn’t injured.

A judge fined the 64-year-old Thompson $100 and sent her to impulse-control classes.

Thompson said Monday she’s still frustrated by delays in the case, and that Adair is free on bail pending sentencing July 21.
