MIAMI, Okla. (AP) - Two adults and the victim’s teenage sister have been charged in the fatal shooting of an Ottawa County man during an alleged robbery for drugs and money.

The Tulsa World (https://bit.ly/22XEjQx ) reports that 39-year-old Brandon Lee Jones and 34-year-old John Kelvin Rather Jr. are charged with first-degree murder in the slaying of 25-year-old Caleb Friend. Additionally, 17-year-old Kylie Friend is charged as an adult with felony murder.

All three defendants are also charged with conjoint robbery and conspiracy to commit conjoint robbery.

Caleb Friend was found dead at a Miami, Oklahoma, residence Jan. 19.

Kylie Friend told investigators she was upset with her brother because he kicked her out of his house. She said Jones and Rather told her the shooting was an “accident.”

It wasn’t immediately clear if the suspects have lawyers. An investigation is ongoing.
