UPPER MARLBORO, Md. (AP) - A man arrested in connection with a sex trafficking ring involving a 16-year-old girl has told authorities that he is a Prince George’s County school bus driver.

WJLA-TV (https://bit.ly/1VSVnDf ) reports that 36-year-old Raleigh McClam of Upper Marlboro, and 22-year-old Saivon Sharpe, of Oxon Hill, are each facing multiple criminal counts of human trafficking and sex abuse of a minor.

Montgomery County District Court records indicate that McClam works as a Prince George’s County Public Schools bus driver. The suspect told courthouse staff he’s held the job for about a year.

In court records, police say Sharpe took the teenage girl to hotels across the Washington metro area in December for the purposes of prostitution. Authorities say McClam was Sharpe’s manager in the ring.

The school district hadn’t commented on McClam’s arrest as of early Thursday.
