CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (AP) - Volunteers from a Cedar Rapids church are distributing bottles of water in Flint, Michigan.

KCRG-TV (https://bit.ly/1VVa9cO ) reports that members of the Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church packed two semitrailers full of water Wednesday and arrived in the city that is battling a lead-tainted water crisis on Thursday.

The church collected about 70,000 bottles of drinking water from all over Iowa and other states.

Volunteer Chris Weston-Smart says finding space for the water wasn’t a simple task as the amount they collected is typically stored in a warehouse, not a church.
