DETROIT (AP) - The Detroit Police Department is holding a recruiting event for new officers.
Candidates can apply Thursday at the Northwest Activities Center in Detroit.
The department says check-in for the event is between 8:30-9 a.m. No one will be admitted after 9 a.m. Business attire is required.
Candidates must be U.S. citizens, at least 18 years old and willing to submit to background checks and drug screenings.
The police website says police officer pay ranges from $36,000 to $53,888.
