WAHPETON, N.D. (AP) - A woman is charged with 36 felony counts for a fire in a Wahpeton apartment complex.
Investigators say the fire reported early Sunday morning started in a mattress in the bedroom of Yolanda Thinn’s apartment. The complaint says Thinn told authorities she fell asleep while smoking a cigarette.
Thinn is charged with one count of reckless endangerment for each of the 36 residents in the Community Homes complex.
Police say nobody was hurt in the fire but several people were trapped and had to be helped from the building by first responders.
Court documents do not list an attorney for Thinn.
