FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (AP) - Court documents state that a Fayetteville woman used three different knives to fatally stab a man before covering him with sheets and changing clothes.

The Fayetteville Observer reports (https://bit.ly/21kDbnA) 40-year-old Monaca Sherece Holt is charged with second-degree murder in the February death of 67-year-old Thomas McNair, whose body was found in his West Fayetteville home.

Holt told investigators she and McNair had been arguing during the day of Feb. 15. That night, she went to McNair’s home, where the two argued again.

According to court documents, Holt initially stabbed McNair with an Epinephrine pen. She then stabbed McNair with a knife that broke, so she got another one.

Documents go on to day that once she knew McNair was dead, Holt covered his body with bed sheets and changed clothes.
