WINOOSKI, Vt. (AP) - Police say they believe a clandestine lab discovered in a Winooski apartment that prompted evacuations of several buildings was producing butane hash oil.

Police received an anonymous tip that led them to the Main Street apartment on a city block on Tuesday. No arrests have been made.

A downtown traffic circle was closed for more than eight hours during the investigation, which involved a state hazardous materials team. The rotary and nearby streets were reopened late Tuesday night.

Police say no one was injured and the community wasn’t in any danger.
