Man found shot in east Las Vegas street

LAS VEGAS (AP) - Police are investigating the shooting of a man found injured in an east Las Vegas street.

KVVU-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1SEiVwo) that authorities say the incident was reported around 11:15 p.m. Saturday near Twain Avenue and Cambridge Street.

Responding officers found a man on the ground with a gunshot wound to the abdomen.

Police say he was conscious when he was transported to the hospital.

He has since undergone surgery but his current condition was not immediately known.

Police have not released further details.
