NEW YORK (AP) - An off-duty New York City jail guard has been arrested after police say she pulled a loaded gun on a motorist during an argument over a parking spot.

Police say Sunday that Robin Mervin was arrested on menacing and criminal possession of a weapon charges following the confrontation late Saturday.

They say the 29-year-old Mervin blocked a driver from parking in Harlem and then pulled her weapon out of a holster, pointing it at the motorist.

That’s when police say the driver called 911.

It wasn’t clear whether the gun was Mervin’s service weapon. A jails spokeswoman didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment on the arrest.

It wasn’t clear if Mervin had an attorney who could comment on the charges.
