OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) - An Internal investigation has been launched into alleged sexual misconduct by three Oakland police officers.

KCBS reports (https://cbsloc.al/1NrDcoT) that Oakland police spokeswoman Officer Johnna Watson said in a statement Wednesday that the Oakland Police Department’s Internal Affairs Division has launched an investigation regarding the allegations of sexual misconduct and that the three officers have been placed on paid administrative leave.

The Oakland Police Department did not release the names of the officers who were placed on leave. The department also did not provide any details about when the alleged sexual misconduct occurred or the nature of the allegations.

Watson said the Oakland Police Department will not tolerate misconduct of any kind from its employees and holds all employees accountable for their actions on and off duty.
