LAS VEGAS (AP) - Investigators say it’ll take time to identify a person whose body was found in the trunk of a parked car in a residential neighborhood several miles southwest of the Las Vegas Strip.

Police Officer Laura Meltzer says a resident reported Wednesday that a car had been parked and possibly abandoned near Villeroy Avenue and Rococo Court.

Officers checking the vehicle found the decomposing body.

The death is deemed suspicious, and police homicide investigators were summoned.

The Clark County coroner didn’t immediately identify the man or determine a cause and manner of death.
