Boy struck by car in Connecticut driveway dies

NORWALK, Conn. (AP) - Police say a 5-year-old boy has died after being struck by a car in a driveway in Norwalk.

Norwalk Police Lt. Terry Blake says the child was injured when a car turned into the private driveway and accidentally hit him. It happened just after 5 p.m. Thursday.

The Hour reports (https://bit.ly/1TdSAVd ) that the boy was taken to a local hospital, where he later died.

The identities of the victim and the driver have not been released.

An investigation is continuing.
