MILFORD, Del. (AP) - Authorities say a Delaware offender who had fled while collecting trash along a state roadway is back in custody.

The Delaware Department of Corrections said that members of the Sussex Community Corrections Emergency Response Team located 22-year-old Chad Neibert of Milford on Thursday. They said Neibert was performing community service Wednesday along Route 1 when he walked away.

Neibert is serving time for violating parole on third-degree burglary charges. Authorities say he has been sent to the Sussex Correctional Institution before facing court proceedings on an escape charge.
