NEW YORK (AP) - The Latest on Christie’s sale of impressionist and modern art (all times local):

A painting by Frida Kahlo has set a new auction record for the Mexican painter at Christie’s sale of impressionist and modern art.
“Two Nudes in the Forest (The Land Itself)” sold for $8 million Thursday evening, just matching its low pre-sale estimate.
The painting, which depicts two nudes in a dreamlike setting, was exhibited last year at the New York Botanical Garden. It last appeared at auction in 1989.
The previous auction record for Kahlo was $5.6 million.
The top lot of the sale was an iconic painting by Claude Monet. “Pond with Water LiIies” is one of a sequence of 14 paintings by the French impressionist artist created in 1918-1919. It sold for $27 million. Monet’s auction record is $80.4 million.
