MOBILE, Ala. (AP) - Police say one person is dead and several others injured after a vehicle crashed into a children’s dance studio in Mobile.

Al.com reports (https://bit.ly/24QPUC3 ) at least five people were hurt in the collision Friday afternoon at the Sheffield School of Dance. The school’s co-founder, Mary Lou Sheffield Noletto, said the person killed was a grandparent watching a dance practice.

Mobile police spokesman Terence Perkins said officers were still gathering information. The total number of people hurt and the extent of their injuries was not immediately known.

The name of the person who died was not immediately released.
