BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) - Authorities say 20 people have been arrested and more than $1.2 million dollars in drugs seized in a western New York drug bust dubbed “Rolling Thunder.”

State police, along with local and federal law enforcement agencies, say the raids happened Thursday morning in Buffalo and nearby Lockport following an eight-month long investigation.

About $600,000 worth of fentanyl-laced heroin and $600,000 worth of cocaine was seized. Authorities say most of the drugs came from New York City, Philadelphia and Puerto Rico.

Most of the people arrested were from western New York. They each face up to 25 years in prison if convicted on the felony charges.

Buffalo police officials say a significantly less amount of drugs will be in the city for a short period of time.
