FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (AP) - Authorities say an additional 55 child sex charges have been brought against a former North Carolina high school volunteer basketball coach who was already in jail on similar charges.

Fayetteville Police Lt. David McLaurin said in a release that another victim has come forward and warrants were served Thursday on 50-year-old Rodney Scott. His bond has been increased from $800,000 to nearly $12 million.

Police say a 13-year-old victim came forward after Scott was arrested earlier this month on two charges involving a 14-year-old boy.

Local media outlets report Scott is a former unpaid assistant basketball coach at Pine Forest High School. He also worked as a safe schools coordinator at the school from 2011 to 2013 and as a substitute teacher from 1997 to 2010.
