BILLINGS, Mont. (AP) - Police in Billings are investigating after someone fired shots through the window of a house on the city’s South Side, injuring a woman.

Lt. Shawn Mayo says the woman, who is in her 40s, was taken to the hospital early Friday and was in stable condition. He didn’t know how badly she was injured.

The shooting was reported at about 1:20 a.m. The Billings Gazette reports detectives with a search warrant entered the residence at 6:30 a.m.

Police say the investigation continues. No suspects have been arrested.
