LITTLE FALLS, N.J. (AP) - Court documents show a former New Jersey student who sued saying a former science teacher sexually assaulted her has settled for $35,000.

The Record newspaper reports (https://bit.ly/1ZLUHkF ) an open-government advocate revealed the settlement with the Passaic Valley Board of Education on Thursday.

The former Passaic Valley High School student’s lawsuit stated Demetrick Williams molested her and forced her to take sexually explicit pictures of herself during the 2007-08 school year.

Police in Little Falls say Williams paid the girl to pose nude.

Williams pleaded guilty in 2008 to endangering the welfare of a child. He was sentenced to serve two years’ probation. Court records show the charge has been changed to cruelty and neglect of children last year.
